I am happy to announce the charity bidding begins. After discussions with Chuck, he suggested we span two weekends to give everyone a fair chance.
You can bid now, ending Sunday 07-29-2018 at 11-59PM. This is CST!!!
All the money--every penny--will be turned over to The East Towne Mall Barnes and Noble's Manager, Jen, to support "The House of Hope," a charity that does not run on government money. For additional information contact https://www.houseofhope.org/
You may contact Jen (or her assistant, woody) at The East Towne's Barnes and Noble, 1 E Towne Mall, Madison, WI 53704, (608) 241-4695.
Now, about the knife. It is called a Ruger/CRKT 2-Stage Compact. Don't let the word 'compact' throw you. This is one stout knife, and I doubt you could break it with a hammer. I can verify that while the nomenclature of the alloy might not dazzle you, but I don't know if I polished the knife or it polished me! If you need a knife for fending, get one of these!
The knife was first stone polished (with several five digit stones), and then glass polished using three grades of Ken Schwartz's emulsions and Alumina. It was finished off with several treatments of nanodiamond slurry, to finish the edge at 3.2 million grit.
Do not be afraid to use this knife. I am also offering "life sharp." Essentially, you dull it, I fix it.
Please check the knives below, I like the deep shadow of the darker shot. And just for SnowTao, I set the edge on the Queen's eye!
