Any fans of the TOPS "Sneaky Pete" fixed blade?

I'm more of a folder guy, in fact, most of the fixed blades I have are in the three-inch range.

It's a full tang semi-recurve, but I quit hunting decades ago. Is this a good knife?

I was unfamiliar with it. There aren't too many reviews on it to say yes or no.

Thank you for the update. I had a crazy idea, but like my redheaded girl friend's ardor, it left very quickly...

I had not seen them, but looked after reading your post. I sort of like the SPM01 Sneaky Pete Mini with the Kydex sheath. Interesting.

I have a Bradford Guardian 3 and 4. I first thought this would make a good "in between" knife.

Even Bradford now offers a 3.5 and a 4.5 size fixed knife.

Not seen a Sneaky Pete in person, I checked Tops website, I'm no expert but the price of the Sneaky Pete seemed a little high, the Sneaky Pete Mini did look interesting but just as good fixed blade knives may be available for less money I don't know.

I keep forgetting that I don't pay what you pay. I like TOPS products and I thought the half price I was looking at seemed fair.

I wanted it for a project. It came in the "very sharp" range, and 95% of the blade was uniform.

I don't like kydex sheaths, but a turn of a Torx bit loosened it up to a realistic level of security and ease-of-draw.

I'm impressed with things like this: The handle is a sandwich of the blade blank, two metal liners and two G-10 grips. You can run your hand all over the grip and never find a high spot or an off angle grind.

You could quarter a moose and never get a blister.

But as John Greenleaf Whittier opined – ‘Of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these, 'It might have been.’

Oh I forgot you get a discount. On the Tops site I also liked and would consider buying the "Baghdad Bullet" and the "Blue Otter" models, my website price $120 each.

Now that it is Sunday and Sabbath is over, I can reveal my insidious plan.

We don't work on Sabbath, but we could do charity. I was hoping one of you loved that TOPS knife, and I'd have something to do. The Barges would be classified as "work."

I'd polish the knife for the guy who liked it, sell it to him at a steal and give the money to Jen for "The House of Hope.".

The knife is still here, but I'm working on Barges. Sabbath might come again next week...
2sharp2 and Bigdog like this.

Yeah, it's funny about polishing. Some projects are "work," and some projects just catch my whimsy.

Here it was Sabbath, and I had worked most of the week. Yet, I just want to polish that knife.
