The fun of discussing retirement with your wife.

The end of January marks the my last day behind the stones, except for "life sharp."

So I'm grinding away, my wife is doing the bills and she casually asks me why there are little bits of blue tape on the butts of some Barges.

I set the stone down and said, "Emergency money."

To respond to her quizzical look, I simply picked up a bottle of slurry. Oh you had to be there.

But I'm working today, here are the half-done current steel victims...

Your accountant (wife) gets the bills for all those Barges doesn't she? LOL!

Yes, she does. But we sold out two orders and I just got delivery on a third. My apologies to those on the present list, everyone I know is down with bad colds or the flu, and all I want to do is whine and sleep.

As for "million grit Barges," I'd advise against buying them. I'd have to charge you at least 125 dollars for an eight dollar folder, plus shipping just to make a modest profit.

I did one for a member here who needed a gift for a SEAL. That makes sense. So does a similar knife take care of the needs of a first responder or EMT. They can deduct the knife's cost for work.

I'm going to keep one and sell off two of them. And we have had to create a "sort of life sharp." The nanodiamond slurry is expensive and there will be a modest charge for that. The stone work, of course, is free.

Heheh! Indeed.

Retirement conversations with my wife generally go something like this:

Me: "will we ever be able to afford to retire?"
Her: "not here"
Me: "Where?"
Her: "Mexico?"
Me: "Bolsonaro is doing some promising things in Brazil..."
Her: "It's silly to talk about this right now"
