I just got two new SW 60 (knives).

I learned several valuable things during those three years in studying the saber. Here are two of those things to ponder while I step away to polish.

Rule #1. It's not the saber.

Rule #2. Idiots don't watch the dirk.

One little, two little, three little...

I have never had to seriously injure a guy coming to eat my hash. Then again, the last two weeks have seen me slip my thumb into my front pocket more that I could have imagined.

This new 'dirk' just might save somebody's life. Idiots never see the dirk...

Obviously, wife wife took the "hand" picture...Think about it, that's my right hand, the buttons on the camera are all on the right side...

The one bad thing on this little knife is the squarish activating buttons. They seem to hit the bottom of the blade pivot and the hole in which they reside in the grips.

Then I remembered I had Joyce's "Quick Release" oil.

Her instructions said to use "less not more" and once applied, to the click the knife two or three times.

I did that, the first click was gritty. The second click was gritty but clearly smoother. The third click was smooth and silent, deploying the blade with plenty of speed considering its size.

They say that Billy The Kid got his first kill as a teenager using a broken knife with a stub less than an inch long.

...heck, I have more blade than that on this SW 60 knife...
