My wife and I have toys coming today!

I got a notice from UPS that Blue Ridge Knives has a package for my wife and I sometime this afternoon.

It's toys, two very expensive toys. Oh, and they're knives, too.

I ordered a Fulcrum Framelock from Blue Ridge. To justify the horrid expense, I showed her a video of the knife.

Her comment was, "I want mine in pastel green..."

(Pictures later, oh boy, oh boy...)

bhunted likes this.

Looks great but it seems a little bit heavy at almost 11oz.

Oh, I have an extensive collection. In fact, while my new polished Schrade is quite the slicer, I feel it's just too light.

I did buy an Emerson/Protech collaboration. Joyce sent it to me yesterday, and I should get it next Tuesday.

This Fulcrum Framelock is an exercise in beauty, but it does have the heft of many edged weapons.

Lots of weapons do have singular purposes. The Sicilian clans used a short shotgun called a "Lupara." If you knew my friends as teenagers, we all might carry a stiletto with just a four inch blade--long enough to use, short enough to hide. I still have two of them.

To that, cops might carry an ASP.

Now, I must repeat, I love my Kimber. Chuck Norris carried a revolver on that "Texas Ranger" show. Distance will always be our friend.

I just never found a way to actually schedule that "emergency."

Well, yeah, if you're an MC enforcer or a mafia driver.

Truth be told, I'm not a big fan of "modern technology." Even placed next to an 800 year old Katana, this folder would pale against antique folded steel.

I think I polish for one reason. If I do it long enough the entire world will shine.

Look at a Prius, and then go find a roadster built in the 1930s. There's no comparison, none at all.
