The news of my demise...

Hey, guys, I'm still around. I just decided to take a few weeks and get some perspective. I did come to some conclusions.

The first issue was my one and only Kimber. I bought the pistol--in a smaller size--to have a reliable defensive pistol. But I'm not an expert on the brand. Over the last thirty years, all of my 1911s have been Colts.

I do know about knives. And while I'm not going to get in the way of RustyIron, I will show what I've done with polishing. In fact, what appears to be a mundane knife of AUS8 is one of the keenness folders I have ever owned. (I think it's the copper, see below).

I believe the knife section is where I can contribute.

Size doesn't matter.
But all guns matter.
Being a member on this form does not have any requirements to own a Kimber or any other gun for that matter. We are all here mainly to glean the knowledge, expertise, humor, wisdom and friendship of other members. (A few of whom may own a Kimber or two)
Welcome back.

Welcome back Chico !!!
Looking forward to your contributions whether it be knife or gun related. As mentioned in an earlier post, Iíve gotten the knife collecting bug and am now looking to diving in to sharpening at a very basic/beginners level.

Welcome back Chico we've missed you. Knives are just as important to the members of this forum as guns. Everyone should carry at least knife even if it just to cut a Subway sandwich.

Good to be back. The Australians refer to a brief trip to clear their heads as a "walk about." I believe in the practice.

I have four Bokers, two in clip-point, two in the Bowie style. I was thinking about taking one of each and doing a comparison showcase.
