Looking for a Reel and found a Buck 110

We came up to the lakehouse yesterday evening to beat the traffic that is surely nightmarish right about now. I've been on a cleaning binge for my baitcaster reels and was digging in a cabinet looking for a Daiwa reel I can't find, when I spotted the tell tale black Buck belt holster. Hmmm, where did that come from. Picked it up and much to my surprise there is a brand new 110 in it. It has the logo from my previous job so I guess I got it then I'm not sure its ever been out of the case.

Right under the knife was a nylon case that I didn't recognize and it turned out to be a Smith's sharpening system (looks like a Lansky)

It is hell to get old, and having two places to store (sometimes hide) my "stuff" makes it easy to forget and/or lose things doesn't help either.

Still haven't found the reel though

I'd just keep looking for that reel; no telling what treasures you might uncover. Forgotten guns, that old coin collection you had?

...how about that fake giant swimming alligator head? A video of it chasing kayakers in front of your house would be entertaining :-)
...is she charged up and did you remember the batteries for the remote :-)

@Tejun, are you going to polish it up to look really new, or just carry it until both of you need a "rebuild'?

Unfortunately I forgot the rc boat. There was a perfect opportunity yesterday with a kayaker. But I also found out from one of my neighbors that I have some competition in the form of a real gator He said it’s about 8’. We’ve not seen him yet though

That’s a great question Chico. I was considering changing the scales on my older 110 but changed my mind. Didn’t want to molest it. Since this one has the company name & logo on one side of the scales, and that company brings back really bad memories, I’m thinking I just found my 110 to do that with

I know what you mean, companies can put some weird logos and stamps on products.

As I type this, I'm fondling a Boker automatic. But when you activate the deployment spring, you can clearly see it says, "Boker Kalashnikov 74."

I have no idea why an American knife company would tag their product with a Russian rifle.

I'd like to see something like "Audie Murphy Model '71." That's the name of an American hero and the year he died.

???
Isn't Böker a German company? If a German company wanted to name an automatic knife after an automatic rifle, what should they name it? Somehow, "Fallschirmjägergewehr" just doesn't roll off the tongue as nicely as "Kalishnikov."
