Show Us Your Knives!!!
To put it simply, I am NOT a knife guy!! My son is the knife nut in the family. He's been hooked on it since he was a boy. I have one small Swiss Army knife that is constantly in my pocket. It covers about 90% of my uses for a knife. The blade is kept with a razor edge and the other accessories need no explaining. It is a working knife. And it works!!
My other knife is one that was given to me, as a gift, by a vendor rep that sold tools and supplies to BellSouth. It is a Buck Alpha folding hunter with a 3" clip point blade. The handle is made of a rubber-ish material, similar to the Pachmayr gun grips. It has no model number on it that I can find and came with a nylon belt sheath. I use this one for hunting and love it. It has field dressed more deer than I care to think about. Even covered with blood, you can not loose your grip on it (nice feature). It holds a razor edge and I could not ask for more or better. In addition, I have eaten with it (to which, my wife says, "After what you've done with that knife??")
Oops, I forgot one!! It's always in my back pocket. It is my last ditch, last line of defense. A 3" Kershaw 1830 assisted opening lock back with a razor edge drop point blade. She's a slasher!!! I'm not Jim Bowie and don't expect to win any knife fights. However, my opponent will have already sucked up every bullet I had with me and then got hit in the head with the empty gun, when I threw that at him. That's when I commence to slashin' and a-cuttin'!!!
There are mine (no polishing required, Chico!! ). Not fancy or impressive, I know, but they fill my knife needs. Let's see yours!!
