See the May/June edition of American Handgunner

I have been a client of Terry Tussey since 1984. He is the finest gunsmith I ever met. I don't even know how he takes guns apart, no witness marks ever show. In fact, I had a minor blemish on a SW 624, and it came back without it...

Terry was injured in a bicycle accident some years back, and now will be retiring during the next year. He still is doing incredible work, in fact, one of his projects is on the cover of this May/June edition.

One of the editors of the magazine wanted a 1911 with numerous slides and barrels in various calibers. The idea is that the trigger remains the same, becoming familiar to the owner. The slides are changed out depending of the caliber needs.

Terry succeeded in customizing six different slides in differing calibers for the same receiver. And like the Terry we all know and love, he blanched at the comment that the editor did not get one in 10mm Auto. T

Terry can be gruff, and barked, "Aren't six enough?" And then hung up on the editor.

Over the decades it's been my pleasure to have my sphincter cored out by the finest firearms craftsman I will ever get to know. And as gnarly as Terry can be, his wife Teresa is an angel.

If you can buy a Tussey, grab it. I'm thinking of just sending my Kimber to him for "one last gun."

I agree with Chuck and that is a fine looking pistol.

It's cool like climbing to the top of a mountain or polishing a blade with 0.05 micron paste--because it's totally impractical and because you can.
