New gal from Florida

Hi all! Let's see, I'm a young grandma with a very busy full time career that causes me to travel quite a bit and safety has become more and more of a concern. I was raised in the country and growing up, we always had guns around. It was part of growing up back then. I haven't owned a gun in many years but now that the kids and grandkids are out of the house, I decided it was time again.. I used to love shooting and am really excited about having a "new hobby"! Just got my CWP and purchased the new Kimber Micro 9. I wanted something stronger than a .380 but small enough to conceal easily. As you know IT"S HOT in FL so bulky clothes or jackets just wasn't an option...

Can't wait to get to the range this weekend. We have a family and friends affair planned! Hubby, son, daughter in law, and 2 close friends. Should be a good time.

I'm so glad I found this forum. Just getting back into guns again, I can use some refreshers on ammunition choices, mods, etc.

Welcome from Mid Michigan. Let us know how that Micro 9 performs for you. Many of us are interested in adding that model to the collection.

Welcome to KT. Seems we've been getting more lady shooters in here lately. That's a good thing.

Hey Snowflake, welcome from a GA female! Just started out here recently myself. Very interested to hear what you think of the Micro 9 after you tested it at the range. Been on the lookout for the Micro9 here, but hasn't shown up anywhere yet.

Hey Snowflake, hello from WA. I recently got a Micro 9 and like it and have reviewed it here, will be looking forward to your thoughts. By the way it really likes the 135gn Hornady Critical Duty. Don't bother with the American Eagle, I had some problems with the Winchester 124gn and would be interested to see if you have the some problems.

Hello from another Middle Tennessean....I live near the Middle of the state. Been to Florida several times this past year. We have a house that we are working on in Ocala. We are lucky..have an indoor range less than a mile from the house there.
