newbie from Bama

hello all, recently purchased a Kimber Solo (exactly one week ago today) came here seeking an answer as to why it sux so much.

I have owned an Ultra Ten II without issue for years and have always considered Kimber to be the benchmark of quality

I purchased my Solo without a second thought because I trusted the Kimber name so much

I will be sending the solo back to the factory with hopes to get it back the way it should have come in the first place.

If not, I will be finished with Kimber and you wont see me here much if at all

Greetings! I was born at Craig AF Base in Selma back in the day!!

I sent mine back with Jam-O Matic issues! They reamed the chamber and polished it. Never an issues after that! No charge, not even for installing the Mepro nite sites. I agree, they shouldn't have these issues. I think they are too tight on tolerances IMO!

It would be informative to know what specific issues you are having.

No matter what, you should stay and have fun, we didn't build that gun.

I have had FTF,(soft strikes) FTE, (Stove pipes and round left in chamber) As well as slide lock half closed. cant load mag to 6 or 8 rnd capacity.
250 rounds of recommended ammo so far. The only problem I didn't have trouble was the 115 ball ammo I tried just to see.

Just got my RMA number and in casual conversation with the CS guy he told me that Kimber no longer supports the Ultra Ten II.

He said if it ever breaks, they cant fix it and would offer me a new firearm at discount price. WTF

I tell you, Kimber is not the company I thought it was

Add mine (DC/LG) to the list of Solos that have been back to Yonkers for the same reason. I will state that since it came back, it has been 100% reliable. My brother's Solo Carry also went back, and it has been perfect ever since.

I agree that they should have done whatever they did before they sold it, but it has had almost 1000 rounds thru it since repair, and it's perfect now.

Hang in there.....*I* was skeptical too, but I promised everyone here that they could say "I told you so" if it came back corrected.....and I gladly accepted the ribbing.

Doorkicker like it was said earlier we did not build the gun we just enjoy are Kimbers and the guys and gals on this forum. Telling us you wont be around much if you do not get satisfaction from Kimber does not bother me. I do not remember seeing you post before this one!
