New Kimber Custom II owner - Mississippi

Hello from Mississippi! Just took ownership of a Kimber Custom II, not brand new but new to me and in as-new condition. Spalted maple grips, finish in fantastic shape. This is not only my first Kimber firearm but also my first 1911. Cannot wait to get to the range and run it through it's paces. I'm a reloader as well and I've been saving up range brass for a while and have a decent collection of 45acp ready to go. If anyone has some favorite load data, feel free to share it.

Thanks!

Wink Hey Ya'll!

Welcome to the forum from beautiful downtown Monroe, Georgia!!!
Monroe Water Tower.jpg

Nice looking Custom! Thanks for including the picture. Those grips a really nice. If you get bored with them I will help you dispose of them!!!

Here are a couple of pet .45 ACP loads:
-Target Load--230 grain hard cast semi-wadcutter, 4.2 grains of Alliant Bullseye or Winchester W-231 and standard large pistol primer.
-"Social Work" load--230 grain Speer Gold Dot HP, 6 grains of Alliant Unique and a standard large pistol primer.

Since I have no control over your reloading procedures, all I can say is that these loads have performed well for me over the years. Please exercise all due caution when using this data!! Hope they work for you!!
