Hello Everybody, I am an dedicated Kimber .45cal 1911 "Trigger Puller". 20years US Army, Vietnam Vet, etc.. Expert in NOTHING except if its not a 1911, I don't want it.

Question: Replacing the spring set in my Ultra Carry .45, still have factory springs, 18lb I think. Would 20lb be better, I shoot a LOT of Ball ammo and often enough "Quality Personal Protection Ammo"

Any suggestions on poundage for 3" Ultra?

Vic, welcome to the site from Tennessee. Thank you for serving our country.
18 pound recoil spring is correct for Ultra, I think I would stay with factory spring rate and replace at recommended round counts. But that's just me, others may know better.
