Hello from China

Sorry my original post doesn't belong here, I reposted in 'Kimber Talk'. And thank you 'Sharp for helping.

Hello everyone, I got this Kimber Ultra Carry legally. Two days ago my wife brought me to store and told me she'd been saving for a year for my birthday gift and I got to pick any pistol in store. I am so happy and would like to share with you.

Wow. New pistol? Really? Wow.
Hard to believe a case rim did that.

I think that's a trip back to the Mothership for sure.

Call Kimber customer service and get a RIA and approval.

Welcome to the site from Tennessee!

Thank you. Could you please tell me the correct 'term' for the part that got scratched? I may have trouble explaining without pictures.

If it is brand new and you never fired it the gun shop where you bought it should see that. IMO

I'm not sure what that area of the frame is called, but someone smarter than me will know.

Let me be clear, you know you made that mark on the frame by putting a loaded magazine in the pistol?

Ultra Carry II problem

Hello everyone!
Okay here is a quick question: When I insert the magazine, the casing of the top bullet scratches against inner surface of the handle. As you can clearly see from the pictures below, it does quite some damage to the aluminum frame. It is a brand new pistol (not even fired once), factory magazine, and some regular rounds. Anyone find same problem? How do I fix it? Sincerely.

Yes I will bring it back. and Yes I am very sure, the casing of the top bullet did that. With the slide removed, and I inserted the mag, I saw the bullet literally make another scratch.

not unusual.

More apparent on that gun because of the color and the fact that the alloy frame is "painted" with Kimpro rather than hard anodized. The Kimpro is softer so the brass case can peel it. I will guess that other owners can post very similar photos of their allow frames.

Thank you. But it is not just 'paint', you can tell the frame is being chopped up already. Comments?

I don't know man I am at a loss for words. Probably be tomorrow until smarter people than me see this. I'll have to check later but pretty sure none of my Ultra's frame looks like that and some have quite a few rounds thru them.

Is there a burr or piece of metal on the back of the magazine?
