First time Kimber owner in SE VA

Hello out there in 2A Land! I just picked up a sweet Eclipse Custom II from a local FFL that I bought through Gunbroker. It's a 10mm. Need I say any more?

Yeah, I owned a Colt Combat Commander back in the 80's and it was stolen by my ex-wifes boyfriend. Learned to love and respect those 1911's from service in the Navy.

Lately, I've grown accustomed to the S&W M&P line because they are quality firearms reasonably priced.

I've wanted a 10mm for many years, but didn't want to bad enough to pump out the cash for a gun that I wouldn't use very much and ammo was higher priced than the normal .45 acp, .40 S&W or 9mm.

Lately, I figured I deserve to treat myself to something special... a 10mm. So I searched, researched and fondled a few before realizing that the Kimber was among the higher grade weapons out there and pretty reasonably priced considering what you're getting.

So, within the next two days I'm going out to punch some holes in paper and make some noises with steel. Hopefully, it performs as well as everyone says it does.

Welcome to Kimberland Capncraig from South Florida. Congrats on the New Kimber. As you will come to find out, Range reports are mandatory along with pics :-). Looking forward to hear how that new shooter does. Happy Thanksgiving.

Welcome, Craig.
The 10 is an intriguing caliber that I think is underrated. Have fun with your new toy.
