Kimber Newbie from Massachusetts

Hello all, over the years there has been talk amongst friends here about what 1911 to buy amongst a great field of choices. We all own a variety of pieces but no 1911s. So after many visits to local shops, much discussion and waxing prolifically an email arrived in my box for a gun auction with hundreds of Long guns, many very high end collectables. Older 20 ga c1900 are my favs. This auction was mostly the collection of one doctor and mixed in the lots were a few pistols. One was a Kimber Custom Classic 1911 and so the story goes there was very little bidding and my bid won. Holy crap, So after much deliberation, discussion, and debates and trips to the gun shops my 1911 came by serendipity. Happy new Kimber member, thanks for reading my story

There usually is some trepidation when buying your first Kimber. Future purchases get much easier as you become addicted to 1911's and Kimber. Do not worry we have support groups.

Good way to pick up your first Kimber. I got my first Kimber about 2 weeks ago. Second one already on it's way.
