9mm Ultra Aegis II

Good Morning:

Have a brand new 9mm Ultra Aegis II for my wife for Christmas. Reading Forum but would appreciate break in Winchester Ammo Grain suggestions? Once broke in I will return to my large stock of 124 Grain Winchester. Thank you.

THUMPER1734,

Welcome to the forum from Northern Illinois, and I have no idea as we don't shoot much 9mm. I AM sure someone on here will help you out though.

Kimber recommends heavy grain (147) for break in and that's what I use.

I've used 147 & 124 in mine and it has never failed yet. I'm a little more accurate with 124. Great trigger too!

Maybe I should be more precise I have been using Freedom Munitions remanufactured ammo in 147, 124, even 115 grain in all my 9mm pistols without any malfunctions or issues. For the record I don't own an Aegis model.

Welcome from Ohio. Probably 100 of 147gr and you'll be OK. I like 124,it ate the 124 subsonic that I bought once without realizing it. I never tried 115 but I hear it's fine too.

She'll love that gun !!

The 124 grain will be fine but if you want to buy 200-300 rounds of 147 for initial break in even better IMHO

Enjoy
