New to kimber (micro)

Got my first kimber a couple weeks ago (micro stainless) loved the looks and feel of the gun. Took it to range and shot 175 problem free rounds out of it and I must say it is the nicest shooting pocket gun I have ever shot and I have shot quite a few of them. Very accurate, nice sights, great trigger, mild recoil. Unfortunately that's when my problems started. On the last magazine of the day I got a fte but figured it must just be dirty so I cleaned and lubed it and took it back out the next day and was getting fte's every other magazine with the same ammo had been using the previous day. (Umc) took it home and cleaned it and lubed it a little more generously with the oil kimber provided and took it back out with 4 different types of ammo and continued to get fte's. So now it's back at kimber being worked on. I can't wait to get it back as I do really like the gun

Welcome from big sky country. I wonder, did you notice if it had the new flat recoil spring in it. Anyway I bought my wife 2 Kimber Micros, she really likes them.

Wink Hey Ya'll!!!

Welcome to the forum from beautiful downtown Monroe, Georgia!!!

Congrats on the new Micro. Sorry to hear that you had to send it back to Kimber. Have no fear, the Customer Service folks with send it back working right up to your expectations. They do that kind of stuff!!

BTW, to me it sounds like your extractor just needed adjusting. I had a similar issue with my Pro Carry II and the adjustment (which I did myself, as directed by a YouTube video posted on the Gun Smithing sub-thread.) made my Pro Carry good as new. No more FTE!!

Keep us in the loop regarding the results of your Micro's trip to Yonkers. Looking forward to a happy report. When you get it back, we'd love to see you post some pictures!!
