My name is Shannon Wheeler. My nickname is Littlewheel. I recently became a Kimber owner and was looking for a forum. I am a newbie in the gun owner world. I recently received my CHL and purchased a Ruger LCP .380. After 2 jams In the first magazine shot, I knew that wasn't for me. I asked around about which brand was best. After several people told me Kimber, I went to a gun shop that sold them. The gentleman asked me what I was looking for and I told him a Kimber .45 for conceal carry. He asked why I wanted a .45 and I told him because they don't make a.46. I purchased a Kimber Master Carry Ultra and began my 1911 ownership.

Littlewheel, welcome to the site from Tennessee! Great choice on the Master Carry Ultra as a first Kimber! I am partial to the Ultra models, I hope to make the Master Carry Pro my next Kimber purchase. Hopefully they won't have a MC Ultra at the same time then I will have trouble making a choice between them. We like pics and range reports.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois littlewheel, the Kimber Master Carry is becoming a very popular gun. We must have had 3 or 4 members reporting that they just purchased one in the last week. Being new to the gun world and going from a .380 to a .45 is quit a jump, I hope you have someone helping you out instructing you.
FYI they do make a .460 and .50 1911's.
