New member stopping in...

Hey - just stopping by to say...hey. I traded a Sig today for a Kimber Ultra Carry II - not my first compact 1911, but is my first Kimber. Thought I'd browse around here in case there's anything I need to keep an eye out for.

So far - very impressed. Rock solid firearm.

Traded a Sig P229R I've been using as my daily carry weapon for some time. Unfortunately I have a combination of small hands and horrible arthritis, and I just needed to go back to a single stack.

I carried a P239 for years and loved it - but I'm a big 1911 officer fan as well, and this one is in as new condition. Can't wait to go shoot it this weekend.

I still have a few Sigs and love them, but quickly becoming a Kimber fan. I've only ever had one other 1911, and that was a cheapy gun show rock island. No comparison.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois JohnnyGeek, I'm also a Sig owner. I don't know if you're aware of it or not but you can further reduce the diameter of the grip on your Ultra Carry II by going to a set of slim grips.

Welcome from Colorado & congrats on your new Kimber. I also own Sigs & had to go to slim grips for my P226 to help out my small hands.
