Hello the fire!

New member from far Western Kentucky.

I currently own two Kimbers and several other 1911's and have owned even more than I do now.

Both Kimbers were bought this year. A Pro Carry HD II in 38 Super and a Micro 9 I bought yesterday.

Not a lot of luck with either of them so far.

The 38 had the front sight fall off before I got through 3 magazines and I could not get two rounds to fire, eject and feed in a row. Most of the 25 rounds failed to eject and failed to go into battery.

The Micro 9's front sight is pretty tight, I checked it before I accepted it in the store and again today during and after shooting. I had a few failures to eject and numerous RTB failures in the 100 rounds I shot today in the M9. Going to put another 400 through it before I call Kimber about it.

They are beautiful guns. I have wanted a Commander sized 38 Super and was very happy to find the one I bought. I picked the Kimber over the Sig p938 in part on the Kimber's appearance.

Welcome from Mid Michigan. I picked up a new Pro Carry Two Tone 9mm in February, all 4 grip screws almost fell out first time at the range. (Must have been assembled on a Friday) but I can't complain on reliability with 800 flawless rounds so far. Good luck with those new Kimbers hopefully they work themselves out with the breakin.

Welcome to the forum from Northern Illinois. I have a Pro Carry HD II in 38 Super and it is now my primary carry weapon as it is so reliable. Stick with it and work with Kimber customer service, they will make it right.
