Question Another new Kimber owner...

Hi everyone, bought my first Kimber a month ago, Solo DC, crimson and night sights, brand new from local shop. Love it, easy to conceal, perfect size and caliber, BUT: during third visit at the range, it started jamming (every third shot roughly), and today something broke in it, the trigger is fully forward and I can't break it down. I'm new to Kimber of course, but have always admired the brand (started with Glocks); really disappointed at this point. Less than 300 rounds through it, now it's going to be on the way back to factory for repairs. Anyone have any similar problems with the Solo DC?

Welcome to the forum from GA. Sorry to hear about your problem with the Solo. On the upper left side of this page you will see a tab for Forums, click on that and scroll down to the Solo forum and take a look around there. I know it's a bummer to have to send it back but Kimber will get it right for you. Good luck.

Swag, welcome to the site from Tennessee. Sadly yes, some Solo's have had some issues but Kimber can fix issues.

Welcome to KT and sorry to hear about your solo. When you say you can't break it down are you saying the slide won't move or are you saying you are not sure how to break it down? Not questioning your gun knowledge. I am not sure what you are meaning.

No, I know well how to break it down, but when the breakdown pin is removed, the slide will not move forward and it will not cock the firing pin. Thanks for any feedback.

If you know 100% it's unloaded! And the slide stop is out point the gun away from you (and anyone else or anything) and pull the trigger. It should release the slide.

Tried that Mini, even the gun shop looked at it and couldn't get the slide forward. Won't reset the firing pin, or go forward with trigger pulled. It is empty, and it's able to be recycled. The trigger goes full forward like something is broken, spring or something? Thanks for words...
