New from Arizona

Just bought a micro raptor .380. My first semi auto and my first Kimber. I have read up a bunch on the gun and was very worried but I'm happy to report so far so good. I cleaned and oiled it, then shot about 30 rounds through it. No big issues so far. My name is Mike and I live in AZ. I'm 38 years old and pretty new to guns in general.

Wink Hey Ya'll!!!

Welcome to the forum from beautiful downtown Monroe,
Monroe WaterTower.jpg

Congrats on the Micro 9 Raptor. Nice little pistol. But then again, I'm fond of all things Raptor!! Good to hear that your Micro is shooting well.
How about posting some pictures and also give us a detailed range report, with target pictures. We love that kind of junk!! It takes very little to humor us!!!

Glad to have you with us. Hope to hear more from you in the future.

BTW, my brother lives out in Phoenix. I've been out there a few time and it is beautiful country!! My brother describes it as 100,000 square miles of KITTY LITTER!!!and the only place in the world where you can lay down in an asphalt parking lot and make "asphalt angels!!!" in the hot paving materials!!

Mike, welcome to the site from Tennessee. Visited Benson, Tombstone, Tucson a couple years ago, nice place but I started missing tall trees and grass before we came home.

Thanks everyone! There's a free outdoor range near my house. That's where I went. Didn't really use real targets. I just shot at cardboard boxes someone had left on the range. lol Next time hopefully I'll set up some decent targets to shoot at. My raptor is a .380. I was regretting the purchase after reading about issues people are having but now I'm definitely feeling better about it. Hopefully it just gets better.

2sharp.., ya AZ has some beautiful places in it. Yuma is mostly just sandy but along the Colorado river and a few other parts are nice. The imperial dunes are pretty cool. I love the drive up through flagstaff and Sedona, and toward Gallup NM on Route 66.
