New Kimber Owner - Pro Carry II Two tone

Hey all - I got my first Kimber back in June (Pro Carry II in 9mm) and have really enjoyed shooting it - very accurate gun (and good looking, too)! It has worked its way into my EDC rotation, along with my Springfield XDs-9 that I carry when not carrying the Kimber. I currently reside in Oregon but will be moving to Idaho soon for the sunnier skies (among other reasons).

When I was searching for a new gun in June, I wanted a 9mm, single stack, 4" barrel, metal framed, lightweight gun with a good trigger. I had originally set my sights on the Springfield EMP conceal carry model but it was out of my price range. Next was the Springfield RO Champion but I didn't prefer the parkerized finish, and the SS version was slightly higher than I wanted to pay. I looked at various other commander sized models, then discovered the Kimber Pro Carry II - it had everything I wanted in my next gun, including a much more refined trigger feel than the RO, and haven't regretted it since.

Let's just say I'm already trying to figure out which Kimber will be my next one (much to my wife's dismay!)! After all, I should buy one while I don't have to pay sales tax while still in Oregon, right?

Welcome to the forum! You are going to make a good Kimber owner. You have the right attitude! Already you are aware that you cannot own just one Kimber. They are addicting. If you need some depositions signed to show your wife I can help.

Welcome from AL. Now Flamenco, the way to ease your wife's trepidation, as I've stated many times, is to buy her a nicer gun than yours. Immediately, a sapphire pro in a 9mm comes to mind. That way she will have bragging rights! Then you'll be justified in buying yourself another gun to "equal" hers.

Flame, welcome to the site from Tennessee. That's funny you think you will stop when you buy Kimber number two! lol.

Two words for you: "Coach Pocketbook" in case your wife is not a shooter.

13 and counting.

Welcome to the forum from Northern Illinois.

I will also 2nd what Elf1 stated, creating a quid-pro-quo situation with the wife is not a bad way to go. Don't ask me how I know.
