My honey-do purchased for me a Kimber Mico Raptor. Love it!

While we have had some break in issues I believe we may have figured it our with some help from the forum. I will be taking my class next week and while on the range if there are any problems I will be sending it back to Kimber.

Other wise I am going to be getting another one in the future, Maybe a Mico 9?

Welcome from ENC! I'm sure that in the long run, the Micro will be a keeper! Any mate who 'gifts' you a Kimber is a keeper for sure!

Okay. Thanx! Some of the problems for the gun on range seem to be from the type of ammunition using, also from the new user; LOL! I get more hiccups with Winchester than say Sig. Also, I have notice that most prefer ammo used is rounded rather than flat topped. It seems that my Kimber Raptor .380 seems to work much better also. What would be the suggestion for just range shooting as opposed to carry? If I did not say things correctly, please let me know.

You really don't want to carry a new gun until it's proven itself at the range and is broken in. For breaking in a gun most people like any FMJ round nose ammo. Personally I avoid Winchester White Box, I find that it's a very dirty ammo. Federal, American Eagle and Blazer are some of the popular brands of range ammo. 95% of what I shoot are reloads from Freedom Munitions, I buy this stuff in bulk for my .380, 9mm and .45's.
