tap..tap..tap... Hello? This thing on? tap..tap...

Hello all - hello from South central Idaho (makes us sound tough doesn't it?)
Lover of all things that converts gunpowder and money into noise and smoke.
11 Year U.S Army veteran in the 80's to early 90's (That's 1980's NOT 1780's thank you!)
NRA Life member

Let's see the important stats:
1 Wife
1 Daughter
2 Grand daughters
2 Jeeps
4 Dogs
0 Mistresses

Lot's O'guns
SIGP229, P226, P220 (West German) (9, 9, .45)
Springfield XDM, XDS (9mm)
Ruger 10/22, SR9c, Security Six (.22, 9. .357)
Kahr CW45 (.45)
S&W 66, 642 (.357, .38)
Remington 870 (12g)
Daniel Defense DDM4V7
AK-47 (All American made not a chi-com conversion)
4x Mosin-Nagant (it's an itch)

Sadly not a Kimber in sight (yet) and I'm lacking in 10mm department also..

What brings me here? Crimson Trace lasers... in a way - a round about way - I carry the XDS with a CT laser (old eyes, slow focus - when you get on the far side of 1/2 Century things slow down and any help is... well...help)
I've been trying to decide SIG P938 or Micro 9 - while familiar with SIG I'll admit the LOOK of the laser of the P938 is as UGLY as the XDS and I don't think I can stomach another UGLY gun, while the Micro 9 is very appealing to my eyes and how they laser integrates in to the platform.

So instead of being a lurker - I made the account and hope to learn myself on the pro's and con's of Kimber before I put my money down - hey if I can't figure this out, I REALLY want a K6 revolver too.... so there's that.

Hello - from the tough part of fly-over-land South Central Idaho.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois Slugnutty, you don't have to be a Kimber owner to be a member here. Give us a little time and we'll have you owning two or three.

Go For Kimber Talk

Welcome to the site from Tennessee. The Micro9 from most accounts seems to be a good model for Kimber and buyers. I don't own a Micro9. Some members have reported the trigger finger covering the laser due to the smaller size frame of the Micro9.

People with fuller size hands might want to check out one of the many Ultra models Kimber offers in 9mm.
I like the CT lasers some members don't. Like you I'll take all the advantage I can get.

I found a Stainless Ultra Carry 9mm used for 600 bucks and added a used CT grip I found on EBay.

Bottom line you have a lot to pick from.

Oh oh, you’ve gone and done it now Slug. I lurked on this Forum for a couple years after I bought a Kimber ultra and now I want more and more Kimbers!!
These people will entice you, seduce you so slowly you’ll be unaware until one day you look in your gun safe and see 5 Kimbers staring back at you. Welcome.
