New to forum from Kansas City
Hello gang. Thought I would register here and pull up a chair. I am a new Kimber owner and it looks like this forum will be a good resource and place to share.
I took delivery of my first ever Kimber Wednesday night, a Pro Carry II in .45. I am not entirely new to Kimbers however. I caught the 1911 bug a couple of years ago. I started talking about them and my partner (the original meaning of partner, I am KCPD now retired) said, "hey I have one". He has so many guns he can't even keep track of them all. He had a full size Custom II in .45 that he had bought but never really messed with much.
So he broke out the Custom II and I started shooting it, a LOT. It runs like a Swiss watch. The disease totally infected me at that point. He got interested in all the fun I was having and he ended up getting infected with 1911 disease too. He now has a DW Guardian and a Kimber Camp Guard 10mm to go along with his Custom II. All run fantastic. Off duty he carries the Guardian and for both of us Glocks have just become boring "tools".
Last year I acquired an American Classic II in .38 Super as a retirement present to myself, then just sold off a Sig and bought the Pro Carry II last week which I got Wednesday.
First range session with the Pro Carry II was yesterday and WOW what fun. Ran very well and was super accurate. Got 175 rounds down it with only two "head scratchers" I may address those later I am already getting windy here.
Anyway looks like a good positive forum I hope to be a contributor here at the Kimber campfire.
