Late Christmas for OldDad

I'm 72 and hard to buy for; When you're as old as I am, you already have more stuff than you need. Sooo... my wife asked me to pick my own Christmas present. I picked a Kimber Micro 9. Do I need one? Maybe a little; my G26 is a little heavy and not perfectly concealable; my LCP Custom in my back pocket is completely concealed, but .380 and is slow to present.

It seems to me that a Micro 9 should be a great addition. Besides (and to tell the truth, mainly,) I think it's an attractive piece and I want one. I went to the LGS a week or two ago and ordered a stainless. I learn today that it is backordered from Kimber and won't be arriving for probably two weeks (maybe longer?) It's gonna be a late Christmas!

I've already bought 4 7-round mags and a holster.

At 72 you don't need an excuse. If you want it you get it. and yes the Micro 9 is the perfect size for comfortable carry. Buy and enjoy.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois OldDad, I remember when I was 72, it was a good age. When the kids ask what I wanted for my birthday a couple of years back I handed them a Kimber catalog and said surprise me. That was the year I got my Super Carry Pro.

I just turned 70 and like you all I buy what I want, although a surprise is nice. My problem right now is caused by Agent Orange and am having to jump through medical hoops trying to retain my pilots license.

Yep, after the kids are grown and out of the house, the only reason you need is "I want one."

Welcome to KT from St Lou. Which stainless model did you order because they're available if you want to shop online and not wait until who knows when.
