Obgitory intro

Good evening.....just a buttugly old biker here. Blessed with a Lady that made a dream happen this Christmas. She got me a Kimber Micro 9mm desert tan (lg). I have been a wheel gun guy for 50 years, so lots to learn. Took it to the range and shot 115 and 124gr FMJ. 5 or 6 failure to return fully into battery, just a touch to the slide and it was ready......most likely break in yet. The laser was a new experience! Not sure I like that yet, but love the gun!

So.....any advise or direction would be welcome. Next is to pick out self defense Ammo. This will be my CCW.

Welcome from Northeast, Pa.

Read your manual, clean and lube your gun, rack the side multiple times and shoot the hell out of it. I would shoot about 400-500 rounds of FMJ ammo before switching to self defense rounds.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois Professir. My advice would be to do everything JC45 said, he hit the nail on the head.

Welcome from SoCal.

Always nice to hear from a happy kimber owner. Your failure to return to battery can sometimes be caused by relaxing your grip. It is very important to have a firm grip on the small auto so the slide functions best.
