New Kimber owner from PA.

This is my 2nd post because I had to comment on a different thread that caught my attention.
I placed a deposit on a Kimber micro 9 Raptor and am awaiting delivery.
I currently cc a S&W MP Shield 9. Wonderful gun!
I mostly keep it bedside and have found myself wanting to have a 2nd carry handgun so there is always one at home for my wife when I am not around.

I was looking for a compact 9mm so it could be worn comfortably in several situations- atv rides, on the boat, out for a run or hike, sitting around the campfire in the woods. The M&P is nice. But I always seem to know it is there, and running with it is a pita.
I am not a cargo pant's type of guy so I wanted something that would work with a bellyband, and smaller and lighter seemed better.

I came across the Kimber micro 9 via friends recommendation.
I was very impressed with the variety of the micro 9 but liked the Raptor as soon as I saw it. What a nice looking gun!
So, that's currently what I am waiting on.

My only concern is the reliability of the Kimber line. I have read mixed reviews and it appears one needs to keep them pretty wet for best results.

So, I am in here for some info on the line.

Welcome from Northeast, Pa.
I’m sure your Micro 9 will be just fine. Clean and lube it before you shoot, read your manual and when your not busy keep racking the slide for a while.

Welcome to forum. You won't a better group of gun nuts anywhere else.
The micros tend to have a longer breaking period than most, probably due to the tight tolerances on them. Once they get broke in they are awesome little shooters.
