Steven from AZ

Long time gun enthusiast and never owned a Kimber. Been looking into the Warrior SOC for some time.
The wife had a creep really scare her few weeks back. First time ever she said she wanted a gun to carry in her purse (she is scared of guns). For the last week she has mentioned wanting one daily, we go into a store and she picks out the Kimber micro .380 desert tan with the crimson trace grips.

Hello from AZ and even though its a little .380 I finally own a Kimber!

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois Steven and congratulations on the new Micro .380. If your wife is going to carry it make sure she gets the proper training.

Good to have you aboard there, Steven. Congrats on that first Kimber too, and if experience is any indicator, it will NOT be your last.

Critical Point: Be sure that wifey gets the proper instruction needed prior to carrying a weapon daily. It's the right thing to do, and will give you both peace of mind.

She will be spending a lot of time shooting steel before carrying it, and even though AZ doesn't require a CC license I will send her to that course as well. I honestly feel she doesn't have it in her to shoot someone. That's why I decided to get her the Micro with the laser grips, maybe if she needed to actually pull the pistol out and the laser will be a "show of force". I don't like that she only wants to carry it in a purse but that's how its going to be for her.

Steven, welcome to the site from Tennessee. Training, practice all she can.

MYTH: The sight of a laser will scare the thug away without confrontation! FYI
