new Kimber owner

Hello all! Just recently picked up a stainless Micro 9 for my wife, she wanted the full size but was unable to use the slide release comfortably. This is our first Kimber, she fell in love with it at the LGS. I personally am a Ruger man, all 6 of our others are Ruger. Highly satisfied with the Micro 9 so far, about 200 rounds of UMC ball through it. Only complaint from the wife is how stiff the magazine springs are, incredibly difficult for her to load to 6 rounds. Ordering her a 7 round as I read here the springs are the same as the 6 round, maybe a bit easier for the first few rounds. Thanks for all the info!

Disclaimer: both my wife and I are fairly new to the world of firearms, and recent CCW permit holders. I am a reading junkie, been reading as much as possible about everything (actions, triggers, holsters)

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois Vexma. I'd suggest you get an UpLula mag loader, they make loading magazines easy.

Congrats on the new Micro 9. Lots of those being sold! How is the accuracy on that little 9mm? How about posting some pictures of your Micro and toss in a range report so we know how it is performing? We love pics and reports. We're easy to satisfy!!!

Since Mrs. Vexmaw is a shooter also, why not get her to join the forum also. We have some great women on here with us. Very knowledgeable and lots of fun. It is good to here their opinions of various firearms related subjects. Lookin' forward to hearing from both of ya'll!!

Shoot straight and be safe!!

Welcome from NC. Yes, get a mag loader. Saves the arthritic thumbs.
