Hello

Good afternoon to everyone. I’m a new member here from the Southwest. I own a number of different firearms, but just purchased my first Kimber (Pro Carry II). I put my first few rounds down range recently and was pleased with the grouping. The only issue so far was some failure to feeds. It would only happen with the first round of the magazine. I purchased a KimPro mag to try and help protect the aluminum frame, so I’m not sure if it is an issue with the mag, an issue with the gun, or just me being too careful with a new gun when racking the first round. Either way, as soon as I get that issue ironed out, she will be by my side the majority of the time.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois. New guns can be a little stiff and need the full power of the recoil spring to feed a round. Don't use the slide stop or ride the slide when chambering a round, slingshot it.

What Chuck said. No need to be dainty when chambering a round by had. Explosions in the gun are much more violent than your fingers can ever be.
