New here from Colorado (just moved here from N. IL a few months ago). New to guns in general, I have had a Glock 19 for the past 5 years that basically sat in a safe and I didn’t shoot it very much. Started actually shooting the thing and have determined that due to my small hands that a double stack is not a good thing for me. I’m also cross eye dominant which adds to my fun.
My husband has an old full size 1911 that he has been having me shoot, and my accuracy is much better with it. I can actually get my hand fully around the grip, bonus! I actually enjoy shooting it, which I wasn’t with my Glock.
I don’t have a Kimber, yet, but I love the looks of them and plan on getting an Aegis Elite Pro size once I save up some more. I’m not planning on getting the red dot, just the basic model. I like the Ultra but am afraid of it being so small and maybe hard to handle for me.
I’m here to lurk and learn. My husband is a Glock Guy(tm) so he’s not super helpful when it comes to 1911s, but he tries
We’ll learn together. He’s been shooting for years and been trying to get me to shoot, too.
