new with 84M

Good morning, or day-night. Hope your day is as good as mine was yesterday. A week ago I bought an 84M at the local Gander which is now closed, they discounted everything including my first Kimber. Long story short with a Leupold vx 31 (4.5-14x40) I could not get a group after 30 rounds I gave up. Was talking to my son and he grabbed his phone and showed me a solution. Someone else had the same problem and it was the front screw on the rail. I filed down 3/32 and mounted the scope. One shot and adjust scope for 2 inches hi and a 5 shot group just under 3/4 inch @ 100 yds. Thanks Kimber, Leupold and my son who had read the article. ( and the man who wrote it). Could add we were shooting Hornady precision hunter 143 gr ELD-X for the final group. That is what my son shoots in his Begara (SP?).
Hope this want to long or boring, just getting out a happy story. Bob
