Purchased my first Kimber (Stainless II) and 1911 for that matter. Always wanted one and was high bidder on a GunBroker auction. Just got it transferred to me on Tuesday and haven't gotten to the range yet. Any tips or advice for a newbie?

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois OscarZ. Congratulations on the new Kimber, make sure you follow the instructions in the owners manual to clean and lube your new Kimber before heading off to the range.

Welcome to the group. As to prepping for the range, it's like washing your hair. Clean, shoot, repeat!
