New Guy From Chitown area

Just bought my first 2 new timbers a week apart. Super Ultra carry and Micro raptor SS. Love them so far but heard some bad things about Micro so far . Put about 200 thru the 45 no problems at all. Shot micro last night Blazer brass 95 gr 150 rounds 1 feed problem stuck on the ramp other than that flawless. Question I have is about the micro spring ? seems flimsy I've read on here that you can use a 11# colt mustang spring. Just wondering if that really works slide feels a bit sticky on the last 3/4 of an inch going back to battery. Thanks in advance

Welcome aboard. There's a lot of Kimber knowledge, as well as other firearms related (and unrelated for that matter) info available here.

C'mon senior guys, give the new guy the spiel about "properly breaking in his new Kimber's" ! Welcome from Ohio and all Kimbers are a great choice. My opinion DON"T mess with anything until at least 500 rounds. And no one mentioned pictures, you have to post pictures
JC45 and Cybercycle like this.

Welcome from another ChiTown member. OK, far, far NW Sub's, but hey, that's close enough for me.

The Colt spring does work, but I would detail strip/clean 1st and keep the Micro well lubed during early range sessions. Once you get a few hundred rounds through it, if you still have 'issues' try the heavier spring.
