Bought my first 1911 (Colt LW Commander) back in 1972 (I still have it). After 38 years in Law Enforcement I retired in 2012 and could finally carry a single action auto, I handled my first Kimber - and I was hooked.
My daily carry now is an early (1994) Kimber Compact Aluminum Stainless. I find the 4" barrel is ideal for carry IWB or OWB.
I'm thoroughly addicted to the 1911 and just took delivery of a Pro Carry II in 9mm. (It'll shoot factory 124gr ammo all day long, but it doesn't reliably digest anything lighter.) That makes my 15th 1911, with another in .40S&W on order.
(3 Kimbers, 2 Colts, 2 Sigs, 2 Rugers, 2 STIs, 2 Springfields, 2 Smiths, with a Rock Island on order.)
I look forward to learning more about Kimbers and the 1911 platform in general.
So you've pissed someone off? Good! That means you've stood up for something!
