New guy from NJ

Hello all. My name is Rich, currently being held captive in the state of NJ.

I am considering moving 35 miles north. I understand across the border in PA, it is a free land. A place where things like buying firearms at will, and concealed carry are a reality!!

At any rate, I am new here in Kimberland. I have a Custom II paid for, just waiting until I can exercise my next permit. ( 30 day wait per handgun).

I shoot a lot of target 22, and what bought me here is that I bought a Kimber 1911-22lr conversion kit. At first I was going to pass on it, due to the fact that it has no last round slide open feature, but after I looked at it's quality construction, I figured I would give it a try anyway. After a few trips to the range, and the realization that it was almost as accurate as my MkIII, I decided to buy the custom 2.

I hope to have it in my hands early next week.

Anyway, I wanted to say hello, and I hope to contribute moving forward.

Kind regards

Welcome, Rich! Glad to have you on board. Now post some pics and more range reports. I have a Ruger MkIII as well.

In the early 70's I was stationed at the Lakehurst NAS and lived in Lakewood, NJ. I flew in Navy Helicopters. The tarmac we flew from and to was the same location where the Hindenburg blew up. That was exciting.

Welcome from Northeast, Pa Rich. Congratulations on your new Custom II. Cross that State line and you won't be waiting for your next gun. If you have a drivers license you can buy whatever you want and a stop at the Sheriff's Department will get you you CCW in 30 days.

Welcome from Northern Illinois, with firearms laws almost as ridiculous as NJ. In some ways, worse.

Rich, welcome to the site from Tennessee, congrats on the Custom.

I am so damn happy and proud down here we don't have to have permit or 30 day wait period or any of your states other bullchit.

On more than one occasion I have bought two pistols on the same day, within hours of each other.
