Has anyone admitted what the ultimate goal is to gun control?

My belief is that the progressive movement is the tortoise, as in the hare and the tortoise race. And that the ultimate goal is the total disarmament and "enslavement" of the American people to create total dependency on the government for all aspects of life. True Socialism.

Though I also believe that most in the movement are not privy to the end goal and are just sheep to their secret leadership. They are too weak and cowardly to commit to rapid change since it would result in a violent civil war like that of the 1917 Russian revolution.

If the sheep of the movement were not so intellectually lazy they would see for themselves that the issue is not one for safety and welfare of the people.

There are too many other issues that do far more damage to the nation as a whole than the illegal use of firearms.

Since we as a nation have totally discarded the concept of personal responsibility and now blame the "tool" for all out wrongdoing; why are we not attempting to outlaw or control other weapons of mass destruction.

Motor vehicles we all know kill more than guns, about 30K a year.
Motorcycles alone, 3500 in 2014 and 92000 injuries. Wow outlaw these two and health care cost alone would drop big time.

Golf. Besides being used a weapon, the golf club has resulted in more divorces and broken families; and the reduction of church attendance on Sundays than firearms.

Alcohol. Oh we tried to outlaw that. That war turned out well didn't it.

Drugs. Since 1928 we have had laws regarding the prohibition of marijuana and other drugs. Again, not working out too well. In fact, the Progressives tend to support the legalization of these substances. Could it be that a stoned society is easier to deceive and take over?

We could go on with instruments of greater destruction than firearms in our country when in fact, firearms are responsible for the saving of more lives annually than anythings else.

Why aren't we all and especially our so called leadership on the pro gun side backing these morons into a corner and forcing them to come clean on the end goal of this movement?

I couldn't agree with what you wrote more Mike, sheep doesn't begin to describe people today.

A perfect example is the Orlando shooting, I read that there were approximately 320 people in the Pulse night club on the night the shooting took place. 320 people ALLOWED, a single gunman to randomly shoot them without showing one sign of resistance, 49 people dead and 53 wounded.

How do you think things would have turned out if just 5% (16) of the people attacked the shooter? Yes, some would have been shot and some killed but that was happening anyway.

All they needed was for a single person to reach him to keep him from raising or lowering his gun for no more then a second or two until the others reached him and it would have been all over.

Instead they tried to run and hide, is this the aftermath of the crap we're teaching our kids in schools today, don't fight back if you do you'll be punished?

Bullshit, if I'm facing certain death you can bet your last dollar I'm not going willingly, I'll fight it every step of the way.

Chuck, my son calls them the Marshmellow generation. They need counseling just because they found out some conservative spoke at their college a week before and that upsets them.

I raised all my kids when faced with a situation you have no way of avoiding, go all out and never stop. Better to go down fighting then begging.

Chuck, I have to agree with you 100%. In a situation like that, do nothing and die!

...Chuck's point probably makes sense to anyone reading this. You would think someone from behind could have had an angle on the F'er at least? The bottom line though is that they were ambushed! The nut had staked the bar out and could have been in a position he could defend? We can't be certain on that, it's clear that when one of these "guys" wants to become a "martyr" their goal is to victimize a group rather than an individual. That seems to be well enough documented.

First and foremost I'm fighting to get myself and family out of danger. Others are a distant second thought. I always sit near an exit and with a good view of the main entrance. Preparedness is key.

If you have no other choice but to stay and fight then it's on, other than that it's what ever I need to do to get out with myself and loved ones.

You have written exactly what I have been preaching for quite sometime . It is nice to know there are more of us that feel the way I do. I really feel it is just a matter of time before we will have to make a stand and say enough is enough I am not willing to see our country go socialist. I would rather go down fighting to keep our freedoms than just stand by and watch them slowly erode.

I'd say at this point the best thing to to with regards to keeping the second amendment in tact would be to get others out to vote in November. This election is going to determine how the Supreme Court winds up looking, probably for some time? If you know people who don't usually vote, get them out. I'm actually working on getting "blue" friends I have to cross over? If most of the polls are correct it's going to take an effort to keep Hillary out of the White House.

IMO if you are or were on the terror watch list or the no fly list you should NOT be allowed to purchase a firearm of any kind. Also for mental illness people say that it takes away the HIPPA laws, that's bull shit. All the gun store employee needs to do is call the doctor and ask if it is ok for he/she to own a firearm due to their mental illness... Yes or No? They do not need to know diagnosis, medication, etc. just yes or no from the doctor and then if the doctor says yes you write their name down on the approval form that way if SHTF its on the doctor.
