Interesting facts about bats!

Interesting facts about bats!

Our planet is populated with plenty of bizarre and astonishing creatures.

Did you know this about bats? The latest newsletter from Texas Gardener Seeds has these interesting facts about bats:
  1. Bats consume 3,000 or more mosquitoes and other insects nightly.
  2. Bats are responsible for up to 95% of the seed dispersal essential to the regeneration of forests.
  3. Bats are less likely to be rabid than dogs are.
So put up a bat house to encourage the presence of these shy animals!

Here are three from the Bat Family:

Sucker-Footed Bat

Red-Winged Fruit Bat

Left-Winged Ding Bat

If you find yourself around bats cover your head,if you don't they could get in your hair, make a nest, and lay eggs. This will cause you to go crazy!I got this straight from Barney Fife in a Andy Griffith episode.

Sport/Marshall....I don't post personal gun pictures on KT or any site, for any reason. Never have/never will. Taking IP risk is for those that choose to do so, I don't.

If you have a problem with that, choose a orifice.
End of subject.

Actually, I've put up bat houses in the hopes of attracting them but never had any luck. They are a real asset and not the nuisance misinformed people believe them to be.
