Magna Arm Gun Magnet

Does anyone here have any experience with the Magna Arm Gun Magnet? I have been thinking about picking up a couple of these to place around the house where I spend a lot of time. They claim the magnet is strong enough to hold 15 lbs and it's rubber coated so the gun won't move around or get scratched.

I've looked them in person, hands on. They're strong enough to hold a 12 ga. But I'm wondering if this magnet will interfere with your pacemaker.

I'm glad to hear that the magnet is as strong as they claim. I threw caution to the wind and ordered one just before you posted. I'll let you know how it works out as soon as I get mine.

I've also been looking at picking up something that will keep my guns hidden and outta reach from the kids. I ran across the Magna-Arms as well as a bunch of other magnet type deals. Another interesting one was the Quickshot Magnet

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois, there didn't seem to be much interest in this so I never followed up on it here on the forum. I just looked at the link you posted to the Quickshot Magnet and it looks nice. I see that it's rated at 10 lbs and is $24.95, the Magna-Arm is rated at 15 lbs and is $19.99. The Quickshot is secured with one screw the Magna-Arm with 2, the Quickshot is round, the Magna-Arm rectangular and they're both rubber coated. I have the magnet attached to my night stand right next to where I sleep, before I go to sleep I hang a cocked and locked Kimber on it. Using a cleared gun with a dummy weighted mag I've tried numerous times to unsuccessfully knock the gun from the magnet. The nice thing is that if you walked around the room it would be hard to see the gun there. When you go to get out of bed the gun is right there just inches from your right hand, grasp it like you normally would, release the safety and you're ready as you're ever going to be. Would I buy it again, yes in a heartbeat.

I got mine from Amazon alot cheaper. They work well... They are earth magnets that will pinch your nipples if not careful. They work very well. Holds 10lbs... just use 2. In fact, whether it holds 10 or 15, I find that some rifles or shottys don't exactly have a readily available flat surface which means 2 are safer than have it fall off the wall. Hand guns, one is fine. My Mossberg 590 didn't quite like 1 magnet cause it couldn't get a decent grab. I also have a safe with a heavy door that wants to close after I open it. Just gravity I suppose. But I put one of these magnets on the moulding next to my safe and it holds the door open with authority. What I mean by that, do not have your hand betweent he door and wall. It will hurt. lol..

Here is the link on Amazon...
