Finally, some scotch

It's been a couple of weeks since I've had a libation. I don't know why, it just seemed like we had stuff going on. Not tonight though. Highland Park.

I ordered an interesting gun for our NRA event, and I'm hoping I can somehow win it. It's a Ruger Blackhawk 41 mag. I can't say I've come across one, and I'm a sucker for those Blackhawks.

Bourbon for me, I have a love for the Ruger Blackhawk .41 mag myself, it's my favorite revolver. I bought mine in 1976 and the barrel is stamped "Made in 200th year of American Liberty". Once I had it I retired my .44 mag and I never made another pack trip into the Teton Wilderness without it strapped on my hip.

JD is distilled not too far from me, so I HAVE TO SUPPORT OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES! Also, like Cardhu single malt scotch. Gun safes are all full, so I should start looking for a new safe!

While I always have a bottle of J Walker red in the medicine cabinet and do enjoy scotch on the rocks from time to time. As far as the hard stuff goes my three favorites are the Mexican agave juice(like to sip the good stuff, no salt or lemons). Lemoncello have relatives that work in a winery in Napa, I get it straight from them it's incredible. And this goes back to my young soldiering days in Germany, Jagermeister. Have always loved the 'Hunting master' liqueur, a bottle always resides in my freezer. I also stick to the tradition of a shot after dinner(when I can). Good for digestion, 'leberkleister' as the Germans call it.

My user name notwithstanding, Scotch is a true gift from God. I'll look up the scripture that says so after awhile, but in the meantime let it be known that in moderation it warms the heart if not the soul. Of course immoderately, it brings out every possible human failing. After a long life of experience I can tell you single malt was made so that a Scot could forget and ignore the woeful weather of the highlands and moors. Johnnie Walker, in all his colors, was made for the civilized man in a civilized country.

Growing up I went to church five days a week until I was 20 years old and I never remembered the Bible saying that Scotch was a true gift from God..

If it did I would have pointed it out to my mother and started drinking at an early age
