Public Service Announcement

To my friends who enjoy an adult beverage... and those who donít..

As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria.

In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 2 lbs of Escherichia coli, (E. coli) Ė bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 2 lbs of poop..

However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

Remember:
Water = Poop,
Alcohol = Health

Therefore, itís better to drink alcohol and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of shit.

I knew there was a reason that I should not beat myself up over not drinking as much water as my personal trainer son says I should be drinking! Besides, alcoholic beverages taste so much better :-)

Now I know why I drink bourbon and wine. Life is good, although it may be short.

The question is, do you want to live long enough to get Alzheimer's? Sounds like fun, not for me.

Moral of the story, life is short. Have fun, indulge in your passions and be kind to those who deserve kindness. If you forgive a transgression, never forget.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to drink, be merry, skid in broadside thoroughly used up and totally worn out loudly proclaiming -- WOW-- What a Ride!" And that's why I drink

And ya wonder why I drink.
She uses those long sentences on me all the time and it always ends with me saying...
"Your right honey"...
