Anyone into knives?

Besides guns, and hooch, my other interests are knives and ham radio.

Any other knife types here?

I've got a half a dozen or so working knives and have built a couple that I gave away as gifts. My EDC is a converted a Boker button lock that now works the way the factory didn't intend it to. I can post pictures later if anyone's interested.

I have a few. I don't carry one unless I'm on a hike, but there is one in my side console in the truck all the time.
My favorite is the Buck anniversary model my dad gave to me. My other favorite is used to carve my smoked ribs

One thing about knives...with bad intentions are equally as lethal as a gun especially within 15 feet..that's a real threat to your life IMO. Frankly, I'm not sure which frightens me more (gun vs knife).

Kershaw is my brand of choice. I know they are not a collector level quality, but I find them to be above par, solidly built, hold a good edge, and I carry one every day, even if I'm not carrying a gun (which is seldom.) A knife is a tool, and I use it as such. But just like a hammer, if I need to use it as a weapon, it's available.

I have a dozen or so, hardly a collection. My daily carry pocket knife is a Buck.

I have about 30 pockets knives and most of them were my grandfathers collection from the 50's-60's..
I have a few of my own but always forget to put one in my pocket..

Top Row: My boy scout knife I got in the middle 50's, one of 6 kit knives I made for Xmas gifts, 2 button lock knives I converted to working switchblades (the one on the right is my EDC).

Bottom Row: Buck Trapper late 60's, Buck Personal early 70's, Dunn improved skinner early 2000, Calmont cutlery early 80's, Unknown found in field next to a burnt out campfire 90's, Buck 110 mid 60's shortly after buck developed it.

Every knife in the bottom row except for the Dunn has been used to clean Whitetail & Mule deer, Antelope, Black Bear, Moose, waterfowl and gamebirds. If some of the blades look a little distorted it's because they've been sharpened so many times.

This is a better picture of the knives I built for Xmas stocking stuffers 3 years ago, I made 3 of each, still have 1 of the one on top.
