I've got new glasses, so now I want to shoot

I finally got some new glasses last week. My old prescription was really starting to drive me crazy- I couldn't see the front sight. But now....yeah babeee!... I can see again. I am planning on getting out and shooting this weekend. Nice to see clearly again.

I hope it works for you Jeff, I'm having the same problem after a recent exam my ophthalmologist said the prescription for my bifocals hadn't changed. Insta-Gator suggested trying a pair of Walmart reading glasses which I'm going to do.

Do like I did and get 3 way progressives. I can see a fly's arse at 100 yards where before I couldn't even see the target. Now I can see all sights.... Takes getting use to them but they cover most issues. Getting old sux!

I have progressives. My eyes changed, so my old ones were no good any more.

Knowing that reading distance is not front sight distance, I have my dominant eye lens set for front sight distance and the left lens set for infinity or distance. I take my guns to my exam. I wear that set up all time and use another set of glasses for reading. Your eyes get used to it.

I don't need glasses for reading.

My eye doctors office is located in the wing of a large posted hospital, aside from getting arrested my eye doctor would probably have a stroke if I even suggested bringing a toy gun in with me.

Here's a fun solution:
Amazon.com : BLACKHAWK! Demonstrator Gun : Gun Ammunition And Magazine Pouches : Sports & Outdoors Amazon.com : BLACKHAWK! Demonstrator Gun : Gun Ammunition And Magazine Pouches : Sports & Outdoors

Our ophthalmologist has one of these in his office so you don't even have to bring in your own!

Nice idea I'll have to ask about that, I was thinking about cutting out a set of wooden sights and mounting them on a piece of wood the length of one of my guns.

Lucky for me that my eye doctor has a ccw and he probably would let me use his if I would ask him...
