Talking Good Guy With A Gun!

Here is a good story out of Ft Myers, FL! Karma returns good for good!!

'Good Samaritan' Who Shot Deputy's Attacker Gets New Gun

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — A bystander who shot and killed a man who was attacking a deputy near a southwest Florida highway has been given a new gun to replace the one he used in the shooting.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office tells the News-Press (Man who shot deputy?s assailant gets a replacement gun ) the bystander had a concealed weapons permit and ordered 53-year-old Edward Strother to stop attacking the deputy before opening fire along Interstate 75 in Estero on Monday.

Officials have called the shooter a good Samaritan. The sheriff's office is not naming the bystander because the incident is under investigation. No charges have been filed.

With the shooter's gun impounded as evidence, local gun shop owner Mark Williams says he reached out to offer the man a replacement firearm. Sheriff's deputies accompanied the shooter to the store to pick up the handgun Tuesday.

Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott praised the gun shop in a Facebook post.

“The sheriff is calling him a hero,” Williams said. “If they were comfortable with him getting a gun, I was completely comfortable with giving him a gun.”

...all that really counts is $$$

'Gun Knowledge' without gun experience is 'Untrained Speculation'.
Marshall....I don't post personal gun pictures on KT or any site, for any reason. Never have/never will. Taking IP risk is for those that choose to do so, I don't. If you have a problem with that, choose a orifice. End of subject.

In the long run what really matters is how much you trust the gun you carry not how much it's going to cost if you lose it, I don't even think about that. In my opinion life is worth more then the most expensive 1911's you can come up with but that's just me, your values may differ. I can buy another gun, I can't replace a life.
