Ticked Off At Kimber Website

Did anyone attempt to take advantage of the "Black Friday Kimber" 20% OFF entire site deal with anything over $49 Free Shipping?
I tried to like three times. I was wanting to purchase a Crimson Trace Compact grip in Green, well before the sale started it was listed at $429 with $9.95 shipping, showing "in stock." I waited for the sale, put it in my cart and by the time I got to the check out it was all of a sudden "out of stock." So this afternoon around 2pm I get an email asking if I'm still interested I click it and it shows in stock, showing the 20% off, free shipping, so I thought I'll try again but I didn't want to do the transaction on my phone and by the couple of min. it took to get on the laptop when I hit checkout now it was "out of stock" again. I checked a little while ago right after midnight and guess what it is back in stock BUT at full price with shipping charges. Aggravated!

I would have been fine paying for it but getting my discount and free shipping and them shipping when ever it was back in stock but there website would not allow that.

Not happy.

Promotions and IT must not be communicating at Kimber America. As a new Kimber owner, I recently went to their website to ask them a question via email; no such link exists.

Forget about any online support. No emails, no contact forms. Just must call. It's one of the things that piss me off with them too. You'd think there'd be a better site for the money they make.

Arland, try calling customer service on Monday morning and explain what happened. If it was a problem with their website you may be able to get them to honor the sale/free shipping. I think it's worth giving it a shot.

I've never found Kimber's web site useful, other than gun specs. They have nothing I want that I can't buy elsewhere for less.

I had a problem, too.

Tried to buy 2 6-round Micro9 mags. Created an ID/PW, entered my address, entered my CC info, walked away to pour myself some more coffee and came back to a notice that the payment couldn't be processed, or something like that. Logged out, logged back in, placed the order again, entered the CC info again, payment processed... and checked my online bank statement that showed TWO charges for one transaction. Figuring that nobody would be around the day after thanksgiving, I'd wait to address the issue this Monday... checked my bank statement this morning and there were ZERO charges on there from Kimber, but the order is recorded in their system.

Twice I've tried to purchase holsters for the micro 9 on sale and twice they were out of stock during the sale. Last time they were back in stock the following Monday.
I was able to purchase two 6 round mags for the Micro using code "LTK5OFF" and the 20% off for $38.

If they are back in stock next week, I won't try again as I can get it cheaper elsewhere with out the Kimber logo. I really like this little pistol, but Kimber's support of it is beyond stupid.

Well...Kimber's online store isn't the only one that messes up the transaction for a Black Friday sales event. Yesterday, I received a Remington email announcing their Black Friday event with big discounts and free shipping (no minimum). I placed an order for a few things I wanted for my new 870 Tactical and when I checked out, the amount to be charged to my CC was correct. HOWEVER...when I received my confirmation email, they added shipping! I tried to call, but nobody answered and couldn't leave a message as the store's voice mailbox was full. I sent them an email and will see if they respond. If I don't hear back, I'll dispute the shipping amount with my CC company. I guess these companies just can't seem to get the marketing guys to talk to their IT guys!
