An Israeli bandage is very effective at controlling bleeding, is easy to apply and inexpensive, I have a couple of them. I bought mine on Amazon.com.

Indeed very good things to know. Stopping the bleeding is primary even if it is not a sterile bandage. Antibiotics will take care of any infection as long as they survive to get them.

I also train with and carry my gun ... the liife you save might be your own , a loved one, or an innocent.
