Pizza Day

I've a double batch of Sourdough bread rising. I'm definitely using pepperoni as I have a ton of it. Also in abundance is dried apricots.

1) Apricot Pepperoni and Mushroom Pizza. and
2) Apricot Salami Olives and Corn Pizza.

I still have several hours till the dough is ready to decide. I'm not sure about the olives.

Pizza sauce was on sale at the local grocer the other day. I'm curious to use it. Normally I use homemade salsa or store bought salsa. That is probably what this is, but it is something new to try.

Wow! Pepperoni and Dried Apricots makes for a great pizza. I back off the experimenting and made a conventional Salami+Mushroom Pizza on the 2nd.

I'm making 2 more tomorrow Pepperoni and Apricots, and maybe something else, that I have to think about.

My wife make a great crust and brushes on an herb & oil mixture on the crust before adding tomato pizza sauce, sausage, cheese, onions, mushrooms and green olives......MMMMMmmmm! Not quite as exotic as MR's pizza but very, very tasty!

I've been eating Chicago style pizza all my life and the quickest way to get thrown out of a pizzeria is to ask for fruit on it.

You don't put fruit on pizza and you don't put ketchup on hot dogs.

Pizza with fruit isn't Pizza, it's Dessert. And Hot Dogs only require Chili, Onions and Mustard. Anything more is sacra religious.

The only place I've heard of people doing that is in California but then they do a lot of weird stuff out there. For anyone thinking what they eat is weird you should see their gun laws.

Pilgrims.

When it comes to Pizza, let your imagination run. Another double batch of dough has been started. I wound up giving most of the pizza from yesterday away to neighbors. They baby sit, and hold puppy play days at their place about every other day. Gave me the chance to remove a foot of snow from atop the roof. Fun!
